Flossing in Springvale

I thought I had a momentum going, serving up blog posts left, right, and center on a regular basis I was pretty confident I would be able to keep up with all my perceived backlogs of events nobody even really cares to know.

But then, boom.

Radio silence.

Crick, crick.

My daily life consumed by work, household chores, or sleeping. Although not exactly in that order because I am known to sleep like a baby with a kitchen sink full of dirty dishes. No shame in my game unless someone calls me out. Which is also why I rarely invite people to my house. I don’t need the guilt trip. The people I am most comfortable having over with are those who totally get what working here in Australia means: at the end of the day, you just wanna crash before you do it all again tomorrow.

For the record, I am not whingeing. Not at all. Maybe just being a tad bit defensive as to why I slacked off in the blogging department. A mechanism I employ to justify myself to myself.

With ‘backlog’ as today’s theme, allow me to share photos of that time I went to Springvale with Jeff and Raven and ended up registering for Victoria’s Energy Efficiency program just to score an LED balloon. It could’ve very well been a phishing scam and we’d probably still line up for a free balloon.

Of course, as it was Springvale, we also bought Raven’s favorite hopia — these chinese cakes with flaky skins filled with taro, durian, coconut, or mung bean.

Apart from Jeff asking me and Raven to floss so he can capture it on camera, it was an uneventful day. But look at me and Raven twinning. And Raven and Jeff holding hands as they walked together. They melt my heart. And that is why I’m posting them here right now.
