A Cupcake Date

In my defense, I had a bit of a headache going. A very slight one. Nothing that warranted a lie down in bed but enough to use as an excuse so I could read my book in peace while the sister is babysitting the kid and both are busy baking cupcakes in the kitchen.

Raven wanted sprinkles. Something she must have seen on Youtube or on TV. She doesn’t even eat them, but boy, did she have fun pouring them all over the top! That’s all she wanted to do.

Aside from licking the batter, it seemed.

She didn’t even eat them cupcakes. They’re all sitting in the fridge as we speak because I’m not much into cupcakes either. It’s not bad. It’s one of those ones that come in a box where all you have to do is mix the ingredients together. As long as you follow the instructions, there’s no way you can screw it up.

The cupcakes came out shrunken. My sister turned off the oven thinking they were done. They weren’t. Had to turn it back on again to fully bake them but other than their lopsided appearance, they actually turned out alright. The frosting helped a lot in covering the bumps you couldn’t even tell. Raven’s colorful sprinkles pulled the whole thing off.

So, yeah, I guess you can say their cupcake date was a success.
