my family reads the newspaper every single day. sometimes, my dad scribbles his opinions on the pages (like this one). other times, when it’s about important values or about life or whatever he thinks is something we need to know, he’d write, “jan/el, read this!” right next to the article, oftentimes overlapping another interesting article with his big, messy penmanship.

see, aside from our usual conversations, he imparts wisdom to us using other media too. and for the record, those three words are enough to answer that question in today’s advice column. no beating about the bush. i didn’t even have to read the writer’s answer (although i’m pretty sure she gave some good advice too). but with my dad’s answer right there, his words are the ones i take to heart.
