If I looked sleepy, that’s because I still was. Raven, most of all, although she was up before I was. I just wanted to hibernate under the covers and wake up, I don’t know, three days later.

As Jeff had a shoot to catch, I had to hurry up with fixing my face and all. I know I said it doesn’t take me long to do my makeup and a lot of it can be attributed to the fact that I don’t use foundation, but still. Some days you’re just not in the mood and you pretty much just slap on products on autopilot mode.

My makeup skills are not the best, technique-wise. I apply it according to instinct. And as you know about instincts, sometimes it’s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. I mean, your house could be burning and the first thing you’d probably do is lift and carry your baby grand piano down a flight of stairs while your grandma is trapped in one of the rooms.

So, anyway, we went to Dandenong Market. Again. It’s like we don’t know of any other place to go. We live, breathe, and eat local. We thrive on the mundane stuff.

And, again, Raven had her barbecue and rice meal from this Filipino food stall whose staff already recognizes our faces every time we pop by. I forgot her name but she speaks tagalog.

“You look very pretty,” she said.

“Thank you,” I replied. “Nag effort ako today.”

“Para sa Halloween?” she asked. She meant the Halloween festival or something that the market was having today so I knew she meant well.

“Oo, ito na yung halloween costume ko.”

I think I’d make a good Morticia Adams in real life. Jeff will be Uncle Fester.

Speaking of, I wonder if ‘The Addams Family’ is already showing in cinemas.
