You thought I would be done posting about our Siargao trip but guess what, here’s another one!
Surprise!
I promise this is the last one. Because soon I will be moving on to our Japan trip and God knows how many installments that one’s gonna be, considering my superb writing and time management skills.
Aaanyway….

You can’t really say you’ve been to Siargao if you haven’t been to the famous Cloud 9. A very touristy spot. It’s sunset and boardwalks. Waves and surfers. Sand and slippers.
As we were flying out the next day, it was also a goodbye.

Indeed, Siargao was a memorable trip for us as a family. The whole entire Holiday 2023 was a totally memorable one. To this day, Jeff and I still talk about it with much nostalgia and appreciation for the wonderful experiences that I’m certain we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
Cheers to more family adventures!

P.S. Took the kids for some ice cream rolls later that night while Jeff checked out the town’s skate park which consisted of a rather small bowl compared to the ones I’ve seen around Melbourne. It’s the only one they have and the local sk8r bois seem to be making very good use out of it. Apparently, they hold skateboard tournaments there too.
Technically, the place was strictly for skateboarders. As to how Jeff conned his way into rollerblading there, I can only guess he utilised his talent for persuasion while delivering his case in his best Australian accent which, in the Philippines, seems to work most of the time.
When he wasn’t chatting up the locals while waiting for his turn, he was drinking kombucha from the cafe right next to the skating bowl. He said they had the best kombucha he had ever tasted.
I gave it a go. It was alright.
